Two plate Mokulito print

Mokulito board and print
Mokulito is a combination of simple Lithography and Woodcut relief techniques and will be printed using the Columbian press. The technique works very well with spontaneous and varied mark making and colour rather than the refined, drawn line.
On this course, you will learn how to prepare your blocks and combine relief cutting techniques with soft, painterly marks and spontaneous drawn marks using Lithograph materials.
You will be working on two blocks so can experiment with mark making and colour to create two separate images or create a multi layered print by using both blocks to make one image.
You will need to come with drawings/images ready to transfer to the block or be ready to draw your design on to the block, free hand.
We will prepare the blocks for storage at the end of the printing session so you can reprint the image at a later date, if required.
