Screen Printing

Venue: Screen - Art, 2 Arundel Mews, Entrance in Eastern Place.

Embrace the medium of Screen Printing using paper stencils and photo exposed images. On this course, you will learn to make paper cut stencils, to register your images to achieve a layered print, how to create a positive from a hand drawn or photographed image, to coat and expose a screen and how to print using the individual screen beds in the room. You will come away with information on inks, paper and screens and a good knowledge of how our studio works in addition to a number of different and exciting screen prints. Ideal for beginners and for those who want a refresher. Once you are confident to work on your own, you will be able to join screen-Art as a member and print independently during Open Access sessions.

Courses take place at screen-Art Printmaking workshop. 2 Arundel Mews, entrance in Eastern Place, behind bip-Art workshop. You are welcome to park in the Mews.

Screen printed Seasonal cards with Cath Bristow

Venue: screen-Art, 2 Arundel Mews, Entrance in Eastern Place.

Saturday 14th November - 10.30am - 4.30pm

Join us for a festive Screen printing session to your create your own Seasonal cards. During the day, you will learn how to transfer your design onto a screen, how to register your image, mix screen printing inks and experiment with different colours, blends and overlays.
Course fee includes all materials plus up to 15 blank cards. There will be more available to buy on the day, if needed.

£150 - all materials included

 If you pay using PayPal, we will contact you to confirm your payment has been received and that you have a place on the course. If the PayPal says the course is full, email us, there may still be a space.

You are welcome to pay by card over the phone, cash, BACS or a cheque payable to 'screen-Art Ltd' - Please contact us to book your place on the course.

We except all major credit/debit cards except American Express.

All our courses are for adults of 18 years old and over, unless specified.

*Course bookings - please note, if you book a place on a course in advance, we will ask for half payment to secure your place. This half payment is non-refundable. Full payment of your course must be made 14 days before the course start date. If booking onto a course, all sessions within the course need to be paid for, even if you are not able to attend them all.

To adhere to the current COVID-19 guidance, we have the following rules in place:

Masks – Please bring a mask to wear when you are in the studio. As we are only taking limited numbers of artists in the studio, you should be able to remain at a distance from the other people so we will not be enforcing a mask wearing policy for your whole session. If you are working in an area on your own or are the only person in the room, you do not have to wear a mask. However, if you are talking to someone, walking through the studio or if there are other people in the same area, we will expect you to wear a mask, unless you are exempt. 

1 - Only come to the workshop, if you are feeling well and have shown no signs of the virus in the last 14 days. 

2 - Do not attend the workshop, if somebody in your household or someone you have been in contact with, has the virus or is showing signs of the virus, within the last 14 days.  

3 - On arrival at the studio, please immediately wash your hands using the anti-bacterial handwash. 

4 - Please keep two meters away from the other people in the workshop at all times. If you need to walk through the workshop to the sink, office, paper cutter, drying boards and so forth, please communicate your intention verbally or visually, if you need to pass another person in the room. Please ensure the other person has acknowledged your presence and has moved to a safe distance before you pass. 

5 - Do not approach Staff members or enter the office, please respect the two metre rule. 

6 - If you are booked on a course but feel unwell on the day, please email or ring us to cancel. We will hold your missed session as credit for you to attend on a different day. 

7 - Please provide us with your mobile number, in case we need to cancel you at short notice. We will be adhering to the above rules too and will only attend, if we are well and show no symptoms of the virus.

8 - We reserve the right to refuse access, if on arrival, you are visibly unwell or coughing. We reserve the right to ask you to leave, if you are unable to adhere to the above safety rules.

While we will do our best to clean and sterilise the communal areas and to keep the workshops as safe as we can, we emphasise that you enter at your own risk.

Cancellations -
If you are unwell, displaying symptoms of COVID-19 or if somebody in your household or someone you have been in contact with, has the virus or is showing signs of the virus, within the last 14 days, please let us know and do not attend the studio. In this circumstance, we will hold your missed session as credit for you to attend on a different day. 

If, within 14 days or less of the course date, you cancel your place on the course because you cannot attend, the full course fee is non-refundable unless we manage to fill your place. If you wish to cancel your place on the course, you will need to inform us via email or letter, we do not accept cancellation by telephone. If once the course is full, we are able to fill your place, refunds are subject to a £10 admin fee. If, once the course is full and we are able to fill your place, if you wish to transfer to another course, there is a £10 admin fee.

We have limited our class numbers to respect the current COVID-19 regulations. It is important that we fill our small classes so we ask that participants honour the commitment they have made to attend, illness aside.
